W hat draws people in? What keeps them coming back? What do they connect with that becomes part of their everyday personal story? I’ve always had a fascination with the human dynamic. Discovering and connecting people to the sweet spot is what it’s all about for me.

With over 20 years in the outdoor, travel and lifestyle markets, I have been fortunate to lead global B2B and DTC branding and marketing teams for passion-based brands. I thrive in the area of creating a meaningful customer dialog and believe that a solid brand strategy is key to becoming—and staying—relevant.

In 2015, I decided to offer my expertise to a broader market and founded Bright Seed Co.; a brand and marketing strategy company. We’re a nimble and knowledgeable partner that will lend perspective, help develop a plan and when needed, engage the right resources for seamless implementation.

We believe that meaningful brands are built on shared passions and that the customer relationship begins at the point of conversion. Our goal is to help companies create powerful, emotional and ongoing connections with customers—connections that drive brand loyalty and advocacy.

We believe that passionate people are the heart, and momentum, of every brand. We work to empower teams, bring alignment, and create a positive, productive dynamic, taking the monster out of any challenge and breaking it into “can-do” steps for the organization.

“My goal is to help companies create powerful, emotional, actionable and ongoing connections with customers—connections that drive brand loyalty and advocacy.”

“Today I am focused on establishing and growing brands of all sizes. I leverage my expertise, passion and curiosity to help bring reality to possibility.”

Prior to founding Bright Seed, I served as director of marketing at Eagle Creek travel gear. I led all aspects of building and strengthening the brand, online and offline, domestically and internationally. Keeping the brand consistent and true to its roots was a key focus while expanding both the B2B and D2C markets in over 30 countries. I guided the brand through the transition from a privately held company to post-acquisition integration with VF Corp. I’m especially proud of launching and managing the brand’s eCommerce business unit, formalizing the employee-led corporate social responsibility program and managing intellectual property in coordination with the VF legal team. I also served as a member of the VF eComm and Marketing Councils, collaborating with leaders in many of the brands within the VF Corp portfolio.

Previous to Eagle Creek, I served first as director of marketing and then as vice president of marketing and product development for Buck Knives. While directing the B2B and D2C global brand and marketing initiatives, I led a company-wide transition from an engineering-driven organization to a market-driven culture which led to brand growth in both established and new markets. We increased our direct to consumer presence with the launch of the company’s inaugural eCommerce business unit. During my time as a member of the executive team, the company experienced yearly growth of seven to ten percent after several years of decline.

Through Bright Seed Co, I am focused on establishing and growing brands of all sizes. I leverage my expertise, passion and curiosity to help bring reality to possibility.
